Why We Built This Site
Mississippi law gives the public a broad right to inspect public records, and Carroll County's offices are entirely reachable. The difficulty is knowing which one to reach. A warrant is not stored in a single county index. The judge who signs an order decides the charge and any release terms, and the clerk of that court keeps the file. The sheriff's office is the agency that receives orders for service and records custody in the jail docket, which is a different record with a different purpose. Matters that began with a town ticket may sit with a town office or with the county's justice court system instead. On top of all that, Mississippi publishes no statewide public warrant search, so there is no fallback screen to check when a county office cannot answer. It is easy to call one number, hear nothing useful, and assume the question is settled. We gather the office names, mailing addresses, published phone numbers, statutes, and request steps into one place so that the first call is the right one.
What You Will Find Here
- Channel-by-channel checks: how a warrant lookup actually works when the county publishes no search form
- Open orders: what outstanding warrants mean locally, and why absence from any website proves nothing
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise and which of the county's courts holds them
- Probable-cause orders: how arrest warrants are issued, served, and returned in Carroll County
- Clearing a matter: the questions to put to a clerk about bond, a reset, a motion to recall, and written confirmation
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. No connection exists between it and any Mississippi court, the Carroll County Sheriff, or any state agency. The limits are real and worth stating up front:
- No official warrant check can be run here, and no warrant can be confirmed for anyone
- No order can be recalled, quashed, cleared, or removed from any system by this site
- No bond or payment of any kind is accepted here
- No surrender, court date, or walk-through can be arranged through this site
- No legal advice is offered, and no one here can say how a specific order applies to you
- Phone numbers, fees, and procedures change, and nothing here is guaranteed current
Only the court that issued an order, or the sheriff's office holding it for service, can confirm whether it exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. This site can point you at the right office; the answer has to come from that office.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are operated by third-party providers. Those companies run their own services and set their own prices. If one of those tools leads to a paid signup, a referral fee may be earned, and that revenue keeps this site free to read. Neither the pricing nor the contents of those results are under our control, and none of it amounts to an official warrant check in Mississippi.
